SERENE DROPLETS

I was too small a kid then
When that song was sung

The story of a grandma, serene
With a boy lying on her lap, in silence

Accumulated affection in her voice
And the boy was experiencing a bliss

In the evening of her life, narrating clear
The misery filled verses of an adventure

The flow of emotion was pure
Like the stream of love within her

The journey of a prince risking everything
Crossing seven seas ....seven walled building...
In search of his beloved....
Chained and bonded

Every step was a gamble with life
Fire within kindled by hope and love
Let him never feel tired or wearied

So touching and captivating was the description
Yet the little face revealed a gloomy distraction

The deep eyes of the old lady saw everything
She ignored and continued holding him closer and tighter

Till in trembling words the tender voice queried
" If I cross the seven oceans, go over seventy forts
Open seven hundred mighty doors....
Will I again be able to see my little sister..."

Droplets of tears fell from the venerable eyes
In it was present the essence and salt of life

Some memories never ever fade
With them is the pillars of culture made.
