DEPTHS

Sunken deep, amidst wrinkled brows
Those eyes may soon lose their vision
Yet whenever I look into them
I see myself as I haven't ever before.

Eternity crumbling down
To exuberance of a moment
That will never pass
When time will freeze

All the idols turning to dust
Demons and devils burned to ashes
The formless reigning supreme
Bliss and back to the promised land.

MY COUNTRY

Innumerable sleepless night
My mother land spend
Nurturing the infant of wisdom
In the spiritual cradle, warm

Her ever replenishing bosom
Nurtured all with no qualm
Yet the ugly hands of ingratitude
Many a times, made her bleed

Yet as witness unto the world
Stands her soul unconquered.

In thine lap we cries
In thine bosom lies our solace
Wisdom sleep in your eyes
Thy heart give birth to poems

Thou weep in silence
The music of cosmos
Fire of your inner angst
Intense to burn, even the hell.

Mother alone knows
Lessons alien to books
For she saw hardships
Unseen ever by mortal eyes

Deep within her bosom
Written in scars is a poem
Alas ! with little rhyme
Its title is LIFE.

INFANT WEEPS....

Oh! Dad, I am scared
That thou may be displeased
Thine frown and wrath
Orphans me to death
Alone in the middle of a desert
I stand gazing into the vast
The earth beneath slipping
My tender feet trembling
The swirling wind of worthlessness
Devouring me into its emptiness.

INFANT SINGS....

Oh! Dear dad
I will be thine pride
Thy love, hug and care
Is all my only desire

I have no fear
As long as you are near
Thou protect me from evil
And thy can beat any devil.
